Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or utilizing the ContextMiner API gateway, proxies, and related CLI tools, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, you must immediately cease all access and terminate your account.
2. Description of Service
ContextMiner provides an intelligent reverse API proxy layer positioned between your client workflows (including AI coding assistants and IDEs) and upstream LLM providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, and others). Our services execute local Structural Logic Analysis, Web Noise Filtering for web scraping payloads, syslog deduplication, and zero-egress PII anonymization to optimize prompt tokens and prevent data leaks.
3. User Account and Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for all activity occurring under your credential keys. By calling our endpoints, you agree to:
- ↳Maintain absolute security of your ContextMiner proxy API keys (cm_key_...).
- ↳Abide by the Media Block Policy: In General Mode, users are prohibited from transmitting prompts containing visual arrays, audio clips, or video files (these are automatically rejected with an HTTP 415 error). In IDE/Dev Mode, media payloads are fully allowed.
- ↳Accept full liability for all text contents, codebases, and documents routed through the proxy.
- ↳Refrain from abusing the proxy or attempting to bypass security boundaries, rate limit checks, or user quotas.
4. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) Custody & Security
ContextMiner operates on a Bring Your Own Key model. You must provide your own API credentials for downstream model providers. We establish a secure custody model:
- ↳API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256 with unique Initialization Vectors (IV).
- ↳Keys are decrypted dynamically and strictly in-memory during the proxy execution lifecycle. Plain text keys are never written to database tables or execution logs.
- ↳You remain liable for all billing charges incurred directly on your downstream AI provider accounts.
- ↳You must ensure your keys comply with the terms of service of their respective AI model providers.
5. Payment, Subscription Tiers, & Overage Blocks
Access to premium throughput limits and advanced features requires an active subscription tier. You agree that:
- ↳Subscription fees are billed recurrently in advance based on your monthly or annual cycle (annual cycles include a 17% discount).
- ↳On the Free tier, request routing terminates automatically when you reach 1,000 monthly requests, returning an HTTP 429 status code.
- ↳On the Pro tier, request routing terminates automatically when you reach 100,000 monthly requests, returning an HTTP 429 status code. On the Enterprise tier, request routing terminates automatically when you reach 500,000 monthly requests, returning an HTTP 429 status code. You may purchase cumulative on-demand Add-on request packages from the Dashboard at any time to extend your quota without interruption.
- ↳All fees paid are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in our refund policy.
6. Data Sovereignty & Zero-Egress Compliance Shield
ContextMiner prioritizes data sovereignty. The Compliance Shield operates under the following conditions:
- ↳All entity and PII detection (mapping unstructured NLP entities and sensitive data categories, including CPFs, CNPJs, SSNs, and IBANs) runs locally on the edge runtime node using Token Vault.
- ↳No prompt texts, code, logs, or documents are transmitted to external classification APIs for compliance processing.
- ↳All payload text blocks are processed strictly in-memory and are never permanently persisted, written to disk, or stored in our database. We only record aggregated numeric metadata for metrics and billing.
7. Service Availability & Limitations
We strive to maintain high availability with sub-millisecond proxy overhead. However, services are provided "as is" and may be subject to:
- ↳Temporary downtime for scheduled system updates and maintenance.
- ↳Downstream API latency spikes, model outages, or connection timeouts caused by upstream AI providers.
- ↳Rate limit throttles or tier limits set by downstream providers.
8. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
ContextMiner respects user property. All code, files, logs, and business documents sent to our proxy remain 100% your intellectual property. We claim no ownership, license, or right over the data you process. Conversely, the ContextMiner proxy codebase, Structural Logic Analyzers, logos, designs, and brand trademarks are protected by copyright and remain our exclusive property.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
We do not guarantee specific cost reduction percentages, as actual savings depend on prompt redundancy ratios. ContextMiner disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ContextMiner or its developers be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data or business interruption). Our maximum cumulative liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the total fees paid by you to ContextMiner in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Term and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, all active proxy credentials will be revoked immediately and encrypted keys will be deleted.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will communicate updates by updating the last updated date below or by emailing active account owners. Continued use of ContextMiner constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
